Dental veneer is a thin porcelain layer custom-designed to cover the outer surface of a tooth to change the colour, size or shape of a tooth to a more aesthetic look. The two most common materials for making of dental veneers are composite resin and porcelain veneers.

Composite veneers may be installed in a single session, while porcelain veneers require a second visit for fitting. Of the two options, porcelain veneer are longer lasting.
